Lower your risk for developing type 2 diabetes by 58% (71% if you are over the age of 60)! Madison Regional Health System offers the National Diabetes Prevention Program, a program developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to address the increasing burden of prediabetes and type 2 diabetes in the United States. Madison Regional Health System has full recognition by the CDC for its successful implementation and maintenance of this program.
Beginning in 2019, Madison Regional Health System implemented the National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP). Our team, consisting of three Registered Nurses and a Registered Dietitian, has been trained to evaluate patients and assist them with improving their health outcomes.
In our program, we teach patients how to eat healthier, add physical activity into their daily routine, and improve coping skills.
