Madison Regional Health System offers Heart & Vascular Screenings to determine your risk for heart disease or other life-threatening conditions. Screening is recommended for women 45 years of age or older, men 40 years of age or older or anyone with a family history of heart disease or stroke.
- Takes about an hour to complete.
- A referral is not necessary.
- One screening is $75 or receive both for $125.

- Carotid Arterial screenings scan the carotid arteries to detect any blockage or plaque build-up. This condition may lead to stroke.
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm screenings scans the aorta in the abdomen to detect any ballooning of this artery. Many people do not know they have this condition, which can rupture and be fatal.
- Peripheral Arterial Disease screening takes place when blood pressures are compared from the ankles to the arms to help detect any possible blockages or plaque buildup within the arteries in the legs. This condition is also linked to Coronary Artery Disease.
