I usually say I’m “from the Midwest” because I’ve lived in South Dakota, Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, and Nebraska. I was born in Madison and lived here until I was 13, when my family moved to Minnesota. No matter where I’ve lived, I’ve always considered Madison my hometown, so I was excited to return when the opportunity arose. During PA school, I completed five months of clinical training at MRHS. It was easy to see that the providers and staff here were exceptionally knowledgeable, worked cohesively as a team, and were deeply committed to providing outstanding patient care. Everyone was so welcoming that I already felt like part of the team, so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to make it official.
Biology and medicine are fantastic blends of art and science, two of my favorite subjects growing up. Being a Physician Assistant has allowed me to work in numerous fields of medicine and continually broaden my knowledge in multiple disciplines. I’m passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centered care. To me, that means ensuring every patient feels heard, respected, and confident in the care they receive.
I encourage patients to take an active role in their health. I believe knowledge empowers people to make informed decisions, so welcome questions and enjoy helping patients better understand their health, treatment options, and recommendations. My goal is to provide the information and support that patients need to make decisions that align with their values and goals.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two dogs, and friends and family. I can often be found at the lake, hiking, playing intramural sports, playing board games, embroidering or crafting, or traveling to new places.
