I am driven by a commitment to serve rural and under-resourced communities with the highest standard of care. I believe every family deserves access to advanced medicine without having to travel far from home. A central focus of my practice is maternity healthcare. I am passionate about advocating for the distinct needs of both mother and baby to ensure their voices are heard.
I am from Somerville, Texas. Moving from Texas to Madison was an easy decision once I experienced the warmth of the community and the dedication of the local healthcare team. I wanted to put down roots in a small town where patients are truly neighbors, which allows me to focus on delivering personalized, attentive care everyday.
Prior to medical school, I worked as a paramedic in a busy 911 service. I saw firsthand the poor outcomes that lack of medical literacy and poor access to healthcare provide. I wanted to become a strong advocate for patient care and grew eager to fill in the health system’s gaps as a physician.
Never hesitate to speak up or ask questions about your care. No concern is ever too small. Medicine works best as a true partnership, and my goal is to always ensure that you feel heard, respected, and fully supported in making decisions for your health and your family.
When not working, you will likely find me out somewhere with my two boys or tinkering in my garage.
