Massage Therapy

Massage therapy can add a variety of benefits to your health and well-being including deep breathing, improved flexibility, posture, and circulation. It can also help calm the mind and reduce anxiety.

If you are stressed, sore, or have experienced an injury, you might think the only way to feel better is to take over-the-counter pain relievers and continue your day. Madison Regional Health System is here to provide you with relief, comfort, and relaxation.

Our licensed massage therapist also provides complementary therapies like cupping and reflexology.

Massage Types offered at Madison Regional Health System:

  • Swedish massage is the most common massage technique used. It provides a relaxing experience with light to medium pressure by your massage therapist.
  • Deep Tissue massage manipulates the deep tissues of your body with moderate to strong pressure. This technique can provide tension release.
  • Pregnancy massages are basic massages given to expectant mothers. The mother will lay on her side with pillows to support any area of her body that she may need.
  • Craniosacral massage techniques include massage work on only the head. Craniosacral massages can help improve structural balance and relieve tension.
  • Hot Stone massages provide deeper relaxation with the heat and compression of the stones being used.

Complementary Therapies:

  • Cupping helps remove adhesions, scar tissue and muscle spasms while helping blood flow.
  • Reflexology relieves tension and stimulates pressure points on the feet, hands, and head.
